Explore the Summer: Week Five

Festivals, fairs, markets and music continue the whole weekend after Independence Day

There is something great about July 4th falling in the middle of the week. Ostensibly we “work” most of the week. However, let’s be honest here, it is Independence WEEK not Independence Day and everyone winks and nods and enjoys all nine days.

Here on the western edge of Lake Erie, we have a variety of ways to extend the celebration right through the weekend. Friday through Sunday are replete communities who are extending their July 4th celebrations along with art fairs, a county fair up north, and additional fireworks throughout the region.

Take advantage of the mid-week celebration. For the next 4 years or so Independence Day will fall on the weekend. Nothing wrong with a long weekend but a full week of celebration is better.

See you around the area!
