They come from the cities and they come from the smaller towns
Beat up cars with guitars and drummers going CRACK, BOOM, BAM!

No matter whether we like what is going on in Washington, Columbus, Lansing, or in our own township, we all love our Independence Day. We love the cheesy fries and cheesy red, white and blue t-shirts. We like the overly sweet pop sickles that are the same color as the glow sticks that come out after dusk. We love the sparklers and smoke bombs and the music that blares from every car and iPod. Music like American Pie (Don McClean), American Idiot (Green Day), American Woman (Lenny Cravitz), American Girl (Tom Petty), American Life (Madonna), and two different versions of America (Simon and Garfunkel and Neil Diamond).
Yes, the mid summer fireworks celebrations are upon us. So pull up a lawnchair, crane your neck back and enjoy the area’s best loud and colorful offerings.
