Coffee Quest 419 2021

There are things you would expect from the region along the western bank of Lake Erie. Great Walleye fish platters, excellent cars, beautiful glass, even fabulous sweet corn. But a rich coffee culture? Certainly not the first thing that comes to mind.

Fortunately, our community defies expectations. In honor of that coffee diversity, Coffee Quest 419 returns in 2021 for the entire month of September! Get out and explore all the amazing local coffee shops our region has to offer. Visit enough shops and you’ll get some swag.

Without my morning coffee, I’m just like a dried–up piece of goat.

Postponed but not Forgotten

It was May of 2019 when the coffee houses across our area put on the last Coffee Quest. Like so many other things in 2020, postponement due to public health concerns seemed like the only option. Luckily, that’s no longer the case.

The opportunity to explore our local denizens of coffee was postponed but fortunately not forgotten. Announced in mid-August, 15 of our local purveyors of coffee goodness committed to bringing back their joint venture just in time for school starting and fall weather. Below is a complete map of all participating locations.

Questing Basics

To join fellow coffee connoisseurs across the region is simple. The rules are:

  1. Pick up your Coffee Quest Card at any one of the 15 local stops along the quest.
  2. Drop by and make a purchase at 14 of the 15 locations and get your card stamped.
  3. Turn in your completed Coffee Quest Card at your final stop (and of course make sure your information is filled in a legible) to claim this year’s quest t-shirt).

There are only a couple of additional caveats. You don’t have to purchase coffee. Any basic drink purchase will do. Most locations have teas, cocoas, sodas, lemonades and treats available at their locations. However, if you ever wanted to explore coffee, now is the time to do it.

Secondly, each person on the quest must make a purchase. Basically, one purchase, one stamp per card.

Finally, the quest does end on September 30th. Your quest must be completed by then.

So gear up and get ready. Your fellow questers are revved up and ready to go (which could be a result of caffeine). Coffee Quest 419 is back!
