Restaurant Week Toledo

By Chris Watson

There are people with otherwise chaotic and disorganized lives, a certain type of person that’s always found a home in the restaurant business in much the same way that a lot of people find a home in the military. –Anthony Bourdain

We live in an amazing town. Sure, we have a world class art museum, a internationally recognized zoo, a Metropark system that is the envy of any city our size or greater, the most attended minor league baseball team (and one of the few that is nationally acknowledged) and a great lake. And those are all worthy things to crow about. However, even if we didn’t have any of those things we could and should brag on our restaurants. No town of our size has the diversity, quality, and passion surrounding its culinary business like Greater Toledo.

Restaurant week comes at the perfect time each year. Most of us are completely over winter, which is still in full force. Outdoor activities seem like centuries in the future. Cabin fever has reached epidemic levels, especially if you have kids. What everyone needs is a break from bland crock pot meals and everpresent coffee. Fortunately, a whole smorgasbord of local restauranteurs have stepped up to provide us with a week of culinary exploration.

One of the great things about this year’s list is the amazing variety of establishments participating. Sure, we have our great favorites that any person in the restaurant know would expect. However, while pursuing the list you can also find diners, family restaurants, fast fresh options, along with coffee houses and pubs. Even if you only have time for a quick breakfast or lunch, you can still explore our local foodie landscape.

You can find the complete list of participants, search by meal or location, plus other information on the Restaurant Week Toledo website. Or click on the logo’s below to go to the individual venue websites. Beat cabin fever! Go food exploring during Restaurant Week 2019!
