A quick round up of our local markets this week show that, during this week of the start of Fall, that season is bursting out in our favorite shopping places as well. This week we look at Sofo’s, Walt Churchill’s Market, Kazmaier’s and Monnette’s.
Box tomatoes and beans, genuine german brats, a variety of local mustards plus the pretzels to go with them, cookies, cannoli, and Stromboli….we just love Sofo’s. What we highlight here is just a satellite view of what the in depth local Italian market offers.
Tomatoes in a box. Interesting and easy to open and store.
Dell Amore is certainly beyond the normal jar of sauce. Artichoke hearts are usual way too expensive

WCM always offers cool stuff. Beautiful varietal and locally grown carrots, small cake selections, and the best fish of the week wild caught Hake. Also, we don’t think about it, but WCM has one of the best selections of earth friendly household cleaning products available. Finally, check out the in house made soup that the chef has paired with a beer selection!

In some respects, this Perrysburg favorite is the little store that could. Fall broke out in spades at Kazmaier’s as we found squashes, decorative gourds, candy apples, and trail mix for colder nights. Plus the peppers are just begging for a fajita night.
