The Rossford Convention & Visitors Bureau (Rossford CVB) in conjunction with Ohio Humanities presents “Ohio Chautauqua 2018” in Rossford, Ohio. It is a real honor for Rossford to be chosen for a third time as one of the four towns in Ohio to host this prestigious event. The theme for 2018 is “The Mid-20th Century” featuring characters of note including politician and lawyer – Robert F. Kennedy, humorist and author – Erma Bombeck, labor leader and civil rights activist – Cesar Chavez, American writer, activist and feminist Betty Friedan and the first African-American general officer in the US Air Force – Benjamin O. Davis.
The Ohio Humanities Council will bring the Chautauqua troupe to Rossford for the week of June 19 – 23, 2018. The week will include live performances each evening under their giant red & white striped tent that will be erected in Veterans Park at the Marina. The evenings will kick off with food vendors and live music. Daytime activities include daily workshops for adults and children at the Rossford Library. All of the events and activities are free and open to the public.
Springfield Township and the Holland Springfield Chamber of Commerce will present the Freedom Celebration on Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 2pm-10pm at Community Homecoming Park, 7807 Angola Road, Holland, Ohio. New this year will be family fun inflatable games with wristband and ticket specials; face paintings, local food eateries, a 21 & over beer garden with live entertainment and the fireworks show starting at dusk. There is free parking and admission to the park.

Join us for our 2018 Pizza Palooza at Centennial Terrace! Pizza Palooza is one of Northwest Ohio’s premier and largest events. With crowds soaring above 12,000 and engagement with local pizza and dessert vendors it’s no wonder this event has become a Summer staple for families and pizza lovers everywhere! Attendees are given the opportunity to vote for their favorite pizza each year, crowning the highly coveted People’s Choice Award. Bands, costumed characters, and loads of kid’s activities are just a few of the entertainment features at the event. Pizza is sold by the slice; $1.50 for cheese and $2 for specialty. You can also buy a whole pizza for $10-$12. Tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for 5-12, and 4 and under are free.
