The Cocoon is Wood County’s only comprehensive domestic and sexual violence agency. The Cocoon serves all survivors of abuse regardless of gender, gender identity, age, race religion or socioeconomic status. Cocoon advocates provide 24/7 emotional support, assistance in navigating court cases, first response support at area hospitals when someone presents an assault, support for students, faculty and staff at Bowling Green State University, job search and housing assistance, economic stability assistance and much more.
Emergeny safe shelter is available for up to 90 days for single survivors, survivors with children, and family pets of those entering shelter.
All advocacy services are available to survivors who need shelter and those who don’t. Services are confidential and always provided at no cost.
